Mr. Castellano founded SecuritiesTech™ in 2005 as a project-based and retained search consultancy. Since that time, he has completed assignments across the US, Europe, and Asia, to the satisfaction of his client organizations.
At SecuritiesTech™, Mr. Castellano has successfully executed a variety of retained searches and special projects, including the placement of Analysts for Quantitative, Fundamental, and Risk, as well as key talent in Sales, Marketing, Research, Corporate Finance, and highly specialized Technology roles.
Prior to launching his firm, Mr. Castellano served as the VP of Technology Recruiting at Citadel Investment Group, where he was seminal in doubling Citadel’s organization between January 2004 and May 2005. He had direct global recruiting responsibility for large-scale development of the firm’s Global Equities Division, all Credit businesses, the firm’s central Execution, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Core Financials Systems groups, and played a supporting role in the development of Citadel’s Global Markets Quantitative Strategies Division.
Prior to Citadel, Mr. Castellano spent four years at The Ayers Group in New York City, where he successfully placed candidates across industries including CIO, CFO, and Sector Heads of Sales level positions. His recruiting career began in 1997 at Computer Horizons Corporation at their Regional Recruiting Center in Denver.
Mr. Castellano received a B.S. in Sports Psychology and a Minor in Psychology from the University of Utah in 1997.
Outside the box:
Prior to his career in recruiting, Mr. Castellano spent five years working as an official for the US Ski Association’s Intermountain Division. He judged and organized freestyle skiing competitions including US Junior Nationals, the Deer Valley NorAm (FIS), and US Ski Team Selections. He also holds a Master Skydiving License with 960 skydives, 238 BASE jumps, a NAUI Open Water One License, and was a competitive amateur road cyclist, mountain biker, and freestyle skier.
